Karen is an academic and heritage professional . She specialises in heritage outreach and engagement with a community-led focus using archives and material culture. Her research focus is 19th and 20th century Glasgow history.

Stained Glass Conservation

Rab MacInnes, Stained glass artist & Conservator
Accredited Conservator-Restorer (ACR) status demonstrates that a practitioner is a fully qualified and capable professional. Rab MacInnes has been ICON accredited for over 12 years.

Gordon Muir is a Stained Glass Craft Fellow, part of the Historic Environment Scotland Trainee and Craft Fellowship Programme, based at the Engine Shed. Gordon is hosted by ICON accredited stained glass specialist Rab MacInnes.
Traditional Skills

Sandy Donaldson, Head Stonemason
After rising to become a foreman mason he subsequently worked independently and in that capacity started undertaking projects at Cottiers in 2013 (where he had worked under Hunter and Clark in 1995) and Websters. He is now training the Traditional Skills Team.

Jo Hollamby, Traditional Skills Team
Before gaining hands-on experience working for Sandy at Cottiers and Websters, Jo started working for a joiner in a shop fitting business. She has studied at Anniesland College, Glasgow College of Building and Printing where she was awarded an HND in Architectural Conservation before finally gaining a BSC(Hons) in Building Surveying.
